You can now see who’s calling in real time, directly on your screen.
With 1881 Who’s Calling, you get automatic caller identification on all numbers listed in Opplysningen 1881 – Norway’s most trusted directory service.
This feature is now finally available on iPhone, giving you full control over who’s trying to reach you.
Whether it’s a client, a courier, or an important message from daycare, 1881 helps you know who’s calling before you pick up.
1881 Who’s Calling subscription
This app requires an active 1881 Mobilsøk or 1881 Who’s Calling subscription.
If you don’t already have one, you’ll be offered an in-app purchase at startup.
New customers receive a 30-day free trial, and you may cancel at any time.
With 1881 Who’s Calling, you get:

How to activate “Who’s Calling”
1. Open Settings
2. Select Phone
3. Choose Call Blocking & Identification
4. Enable 1881 Who’s Calling
Search with 1881
Search for names, numbers, addresses, businesses, and categories directly in the app.
You can also search for nearby businesses like restaurants, pharmacies, gas stations, and more.
Update your contacts
Easily save or update contacts with accurate information from Opplysningen 1881.
The app gives you a clear overview of your contacts and shortcuts to call, text, or email.
Group SMS and conference calls no longer available
These features have been removed due to low usage.
Privacy
We care about your privacy.
Opplysningen 1881 cannot see who calls you, who you call, or access your contacts in any way.

Big upgrade! You now get automatic caller identification on all numbers from Opplysningen 1881.
Remember to enable 1881 Who’s Calling under:
Settings → Phone → Call Blocking & Identification, and activate 1881 Who’s Calling.
You need an active 1881 Mobilsøk or 1881 Who’s Calling subscription to see who’s calling.
IMPORTANT: The Who’s Calling feature requires iOS 18.2 or newer to work properly.
